Short Biography
Having a process engineering background from Bingen Technical University of Applied Sciences and Dresden University of Technology as well as Durban University of Technology, Florian Nestler deep-dived into CO2-based methanol synthesis during his PhD thesis at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE in Freiburg. Now carrying on with his work at Fraunhofer ISE, Florian’s focus of research lies within the highly detailed modelling of various Power-to-X pathways on reactor and process scale under steady state and dynamic load conditions with the mission to optimize overall plant economics for »green« chemicals and fuels.
