The impact of renewables and solar energy for future generations is driven by dedicated people world-wide. To advance knowledge and career prospective in solar energy the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE together with University of Freiburg is offering a MSc. study program in solar energy engineering. Students will engage in the technology and engineering of photovoltaic and solar thermal systems and grid integration.

The English language and online study program is directed towards people with a technical, science or engineering degree and provides in-depth knowledge in state-of-the-art and future solar energy engineering.

The international Master's programme Sustainable Systems Engineering (SSE) provides in-depth engineering skills in sustainable materials, sustainable energy systems, and resilience. Complementing interdisciplinary knowledge in natural resources and climate change, as well as sustainable economy, technology and society is also taught during the two-year-programme.

The "PV Academy" is a global platform dedicated to advancing knowledge in photovoltaics (PV). It brings together researchers, professionals, and students to explore the latest developments in solar PV through high-quality educational content and meaningful networking opportunities. The PV Academy features multiple sessions covering a wide range of topics in photovoltaics, presented by renowned experts from the photovoltaic research and industry community. On-site lectures take place within the framework of the EU PVSEC and are also made accessible online. In addition, the PV Academy offers an online library with recordings on diverse topics across PV science, technology, and market trends.
