Ventilation and moisture management in buildings is becoming increasingly important, as increasing airtightness and diffusion-inhibiting systems make natural exchange more difficult.
Moisture management also plays an important role in mobility and industry. Industrial drying processes, which until now have often been gas fired, will also need energy-efficient solutions in the future that are powered by renewable energies.
We investigate and develop methods for controlled dehumidification, moisture recovery and moisture buffering using both thermal and sorptive processes. We can draw on extensive expertise in the development, characterization and processing of sorption materials, modelling of innovative components and expertise in the integration of heat pump technology.
Our R&D-Services on the Topic "Drying and Dehumidification" include:
- Development, measurement and evaluation of components as well as decentralized and small central ventilation units
- Characterization of ventilation units
- Development and evaluation of sorption-based dehumidification and drying processes
