Bidirectional charging of electric vehicles potentially offers benefits in many respects:
- for grid support in the distribution network (Vehicle-to-Grid)
- for the integration of renewable energy through active participation in the energy market
- for increasing the energy self-sufficiency of buildings (Vehicle-to-Home or Vehicle-to-Building)
Enabling bidirectional charging requires the coordinated interaction of various components. To this end, we work together with our customers to develop solutions.
Our R&D Services in this Field Include:
- Analysis of potential and economic viability
- Integration of fleet vehicles into corporate energy systems
- Forecast-based bidirectional charging management
- System integration testing of bidirectional charging infrastructure
- Power feed-back in the context of PV self-consumption and Vehicle-to-Home
- Communication-based integration of charging infrastructure with energy management systems (including EEBus) and cloud systems (e.g., via OCPP)
