Silicon Solar Cells and Modules

In the topic "Silicon Solar Cells and Modules", we support silicon photovoltaics along the entire value chain with the aim of bringing sustainable, efficient and cost-effective solar cells and modules to industrial maturity.

We develop new solar cell and module concepts for our customers, evaluate production technology and test new materials. Our development depth ranges from proof-of-concept with record efficiencies for new cell architectures to an industry-oriented research environment, close to the current state of the art.

In three large laboratories, we process silicon wafers into highly efficient solar cells and modules using industrial equipment. As a result, we offer our customers a relevant platform for new developments and can also support the transfer of technology to industrial production. This is complemented by our comprehensive characterization and modelling expertise and the accompanying development of new processes for more efficient and resource-saving products.

Our partners work in solar cell manufacturing or module production, in plant engineering or in the supplier sector and value our many years of experience and comprehensive range of solutions from a single source.

In cooperation with universities, we also train scientific and technical staff to a high standard and support our customers with internal training and corporate strategy in the field of solar cells and modules.
