- Electrical safety testing (e.g. impulse voltage tests or partial discharge tests)
This test is designed to examine whether or not the electrical insulation of a module is capable of providing insulation against larger voltage surges caused by atmospheric influences (lightning) or by switching operations. These tests form part of the electrical safety testing in accordance with IEC 61730. - Insulation test
The insulation tests are performed in order to determine whether or not the electrical insulation of the module between the live components and the frame or other accessible parts of the module is sufficient. - Robustness of terminations
This test determines whether or not the supply cables and connectors of the module withstand the strains resulting from installation and usage. - Bypass diode test
In the bypass diode test, the suitability of the bypass diode used to reduce susceptibility to hot spots is investigated.
