Each session will provide an in-depth exploration of one of the publications, explaining not only the most recent work but also the methodologies and scientific expertise that underpin these results.

This Workshop on MCS: Power-Electronic System Technology for Megawatt Truck Charging addresses the question of how future charging infrastructures on large areas along highways, in urban centers, and on industrial sites should be designed. Instead of individual charging points, megawatt-scale MCS installations (typically 8–30 MVA per traffic node) are the focus, capable of functioning as small energy networks. Accordingly, future facilities should be planned from the outset as hybrid power plants incorporating PV, storage, and, where appropriate, DC distribution, to provide high power in a cost-efficient manner.

Although aluminum offers great potential, major challenges remain. This meeting aims to connect scientists facing these challenges, encourage discussion, and foster collaboration.

In the workshop "Battery – Performance, Production, Safety and Operation" you will be provided with a fundamental understanding and interdisciplinary knowledge of energy storage in batteries, delivered with a strong practical focus.
