Companies from various industries from life-science, food to surface finishing use acids and other relatively valuable fluids in their processes or for cleaning and rinsing. Once these fluids have served their purpose they are expelled along with other wastes these industries produce. With the rising cost of chemicals and their disposal, these companies face growing challenges. At Fraunhofer ISE we research and develop novel membrane processes to allow for the recovery and reuse of these valuable fluids, therein promoting sustainability and economy.
Our techniques are also employed in wastewater treatment industries to aid with ammonia and sulphuric acid extraction from household and industrial refuse which is later on used for fertilizer production.
Our membrane processes are versatile and so is our workforce. We invite you to discuss proposals and opportunities for our participation in projects on fluid recovery.
