Voltage dependent on ionomer content

Voltage at a current density of 3 A/cm² dependent on ionomer content and Pt catalyst loading for screen printed catalyst layers. A ionomer content of 30% shows an optimum. A Pt loading higher than 0,3 mg/cm² leads to thicker layers and thus higher diffusion resistance and larger voltage decay result in a reduced current density.
