With special test sequences and test equipment, we examine the reliability of PV modules taking into account location-dependent load factors specific to for example, arid, tropic, maritime and alpine regions as well as severe hailstorms and snow loads.  These increased loads are not adequately addressed in module certification

We have developed our test sequences based on long-term analyses of exceptional climatic conditions as well as degradation processes under outdoor conditions and in the laboratory. The combination of different stress factors is of great importance in order to realistically simulate stress conditions  over an accelerated time period. For example, our multicycle test provides combined stress conditions with temperature changes and increased UV exposure while maintaining constant moisture content in the module. These conditions address the operation of PV modules in climatic zones with higher humidity.

An overview of our test equipment can be found in the section TestLab PV Modules.
