The use of new technologies in power electronics is one of the main focuses of our work. We always try to explore the limits of what is technically feasible. The holistic view at system level is our competence. We refer to the entire range of components in a power electronic system - from the use of the latest semiconductors as well as the assembly and connection technology to the use of the latest manufacturing processes of circuit boards (thick Cu, flex, etc.) to modern assemblies of inductive components (planar technology, winding techniques, etc.). Mastering the resulting challenges is part of many of the research projects we work on.
Due to our close contacts to manufacturers of semiconductors, circuit boards, inductive components, etc., we are always at the cutting edge of technology in all areas of power electronics development.
