Particularly in the field of renewable energies, the use of wide band-gap transistors offers great advantages in terms of power density and efficiency. These can also be applied to other areas. We develop compact, highly efficient and integrated power electronics for renewable energies, industrial applications, railway, and aerospace on the basis of wide band-gap components.

At Fraunhofer ISE, all steps from the concept phase, design, thermal and electrical simulation and assembly through to testing are carried out by specialists. Our focus here is on a systemic approach in order to be able to make maximum use of the advantages of the components. The results we have produced in our laboratories and published at scientific conferences are recognized both academically and by our industry partners.
