The conference addresses four main topics:

-       Urban Mobility: Mobility holds one of the critical keys to sustainable cities. The decisions we make (or fail to make) today will have a tremendous impact on how we live in the future. Mobility experts, city planners and public transport specialists will discuss with visionaries who are already making sustainable mobility happen.

-       Leadership: The transition to sustainable cities requires changes on many levels, not least personal choices and how society sets priorities. And what these numerous change processes need the most is passionate leadership: whether personal, business or political leadership.

-       Built Environment and Architecture: Whether it’s the amount of CO₂ connected to construction, existing buildings’ hunger for energy or questions of land-use: urban planners, architects, engineers, developers, construction companies and investors discuss the many challenges to be solved.

-       Green Business and Innovation: Businesses are an essential part of the solutions for more sustainable cities. Let’s hear from green businesses, leaders, visionaries, innovators and collaborators from around the world just how private businesses and city administrations are teaming-up to make cities better places.

Dr. Matthias Vetter, Head of the Department of Electrical Energy Storage at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE and Gerhard Stryi-Hipp, Group Head of Smart Cities at Fraunhofer ISE, will be among the speakers who drive the change towards more sustainable cities.
