To complement the business area of Silicon Photovoltaics our research and development on solar cells in the business area of Alternative Photovoltaic Technologies includes new non-Si-based solar cell concepts.
Our development work is focused on III-V semiconductors for terrestrial and extraterrestrial applications, PV concentrator systems, dye-sensitized solar cells and organic solar cells, as well as on novel solar cell concepts such as photon management.
